Knitted Glory

Thursday, July 20

One of the only things I paid attention to in Art History class was period architecture. I loved learning about the buildings and what the engineer tried to accomplish. New York City has architectural feats that are inspired by every corner of the world.

I was driving through Chinatown crossing the Manhattan Bridge and noticed the beautiful architecture of the arc. I have been experiencing serious Wanderlust withdrawals and have been looking for substitutions here in New York and New Jersey. So, when I saw this installation I knew I had to go back.

During one of my latest Plato's closet hauls, I found this knitted striped Free People Dress. I instantly fell into a new obsession with the extra-long tassels and lightweight knit structure. Naturally, I have already worn this dress about 3 times since buying it.
